The girls U11 Elite team's strong play throughout the Grove United Memorial Day Shootout tournament propelled the team to a first place finish in the World Cup division. The girls defeated Chicago Northwind 3-1, Crystal Lake 3-0, and Sockers White 3-0 en route to a championship game showdown with ELA of Lake Zurich.

Glenview scored early in the first half, and held the lead with grit and determination for the remainder of the game amid many good scoring opportunities for both teams to secure the 1-0 victory. This is the fourth consecutive Grove United championship for several members of the team going back to U8. Congratulations to the girls and coaches for another winning effort in 2013.
