FC-1 U14 Girls Select are Chicago Cup Champions! It was a pleasure to watch the girls come together this weekend. They played with their hearts up until the very end, and their commitment paid off. Coach Kyle Kurz's passionate coaching brings out the best in them. He inspires them to work hard individually and play hard together. Way to go Team!!!
 

Coach Kurz is the Assistant Director of Coaching and has been involved with playing or coaching soccer in the area since the early '70s (yes he's that old). Married to wife Abby, with two children, Tyler and Casey, living in Northbrook for 21 years. In addition to coaching soccer for the last ten years in Northbrook and Glenview, Kyle owns Allegra Marketing Print Signs in Evanston and is a co-owner of 9Round kick-boxing gym in Northbrook.
 

Playing Experience:
Played for several clubs growing up in Evanston as well as ETHS.  Still playing with two teams on the North Shore.
 

Coaching Experience: 

• 1984-85  Grosse Point Soccer Club
• 2006-07  Northbrook Spartans Park District 
• 2008-11  Spartan FC/Glenbrook United 
• 2012-present  FC-1 Academy 

Coaching Accomplishments:

• Multiple Division and Tournament Championships with FC-1, but the privilege to coach great kids and players and watch them develop as individuals has equaled or surpassed anything that happens on the field.
