The Glenview Titans U12 Elite team spent Labor Day weekend competing in the highly competitive U12 Green division of the Palatine Celtic Cup.  The competition commenced on Friday night when the Glenview girls battled to a 1-1 tie against a talented Spartan FC Select team.  On Saturday night, Glenview shutout TCSA Premier Black 2-0.  Pool play concluded on Sunday with a must win victory over the Wilmette Wings Premier 3 to 2.  The 2-0-1 pool play record put the Titans into the semi-finals Monday morning against ELA Soccer Red.  After a 2 to 1 halftime lead, ELA Red came back to tie the game in the second half.  However, the Titans rallied for a late goal and a 3 to 2 win.  Later in the day, the Titans met the Crystal Lake Force Elite team in the Finals.  The Titans built a 3 to 0 lead early in the second half.  However, the talented Crystal Lake team narrowed the lead to 3 to 2.  An insurance goal to make the score 4 to 2 was needed as Crystal Lake scored once more.  When the final whistle blew, the Titans were 4 to 3 winners and proud owners of their own Celtic Cup.
