The U9 Elite team won the Libertyville Octoberfest tournament this past weekend.  The team overcame a first round loss to a solid Libertyville Orange squad and won the rematch 4-3 in the championship game.  The boys jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first half only to watch Libertyville score three goals in the second half to tie the game.  The U9 Elites relied on strong goaltending and finally broke the tie with just over five minutes left in the game to secure the victory.  The boys beat teams from Park Ridge and Dixon during the tournament.

The team also won the Palatine Celtic Cup tournament over Labor Day weekend.
