GSC is pleased to announce an expanded sponsor relationship with IMPACT Sports Performance, which is an extension of one of our current sponsors, Illinois Bone & Joint Institute (IBJI). The combined sponsorship between the two organizations and GSC will include access to several sports performance, sports medicine, and injury screening programs for all of our players. Among them:

Sports performance programs: Located on Route 41 in Highland Park, IMPACT Sports Performance provides comprehensive training methods designed to provide optimal speed, movement, explosion, balance, power, functional strength, core stability and recovery for athletes of all ages. Fast Track Injury Screening: With this new icon located on the left navigation of our Club’s website, you are a click away from requesting complementary non-emergency injury screenings available at IBJI Rehabilitation Services’ Glenview, Buffalo Grove and Highland Park facilities. The screenings consist of an evaluation performed by a Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC). The clinician will explain the extent of the injury and educate the player/parents on a treatment protocol.

Pre-concussion testing: To help address the risk of head injuries occurring in youth sports, IBJI is offering complementary pre-concussion baseline screening available to all GSC and FC-1 Academy players 10 years of age and older. IMPACT Sports Performance branded gear: For the fall 2012 through spring 2014 seasons, GSC boys and girls teams U8-U12 are being outfitted with light blue/black Adidas goalkeeper jerseys. The purchase of these jerseys was made possible through IMPACT’s generous sponsorship. The IMPACT logo will also appear on select head coaches gear.

Finally, please be sure to thank IMPACT and IBJI staff for expanding their financial support of GSC, which will bolster our Club’s ability to provide financial aid for players in need and subsidize the cost of new equipment purchases.
