Personal Bio:
Soccer has always been a part of my life since I started playing for Valur in Iceland at the age of 7. Winning championships with Valur and playing for the Icelandic National team are the highlights of my playing career. I was also fortunate to practice with Arsenal (England) for a month at the age of 16. I love to coach and one of my best coaching moments was when I was the women’s team head coach and Valur won the Icelandic Championship in 1978 (I was only 20 years old). Coaching and playing soccer have taken me to many new places, and I have learned to speak many different languages as a result. I live in Niles with my wife Marianne. We have 5 children: Kristin, Caroline, Emma, Nikolas, and Kristjan (a current GSC player!) I love traveling, playing chess, and spending time with my family and relatives.

Personal Bio:

I have played soccer for as long as I can remember. I started on the streets and in the parks of Plovdiv, just like all of the other kids. At age 11, I joined the highly competitive development program for “Trakia” Plovdiv. I played with them and with my high school varsity team through my teens. Now as a coach I am trying to provide a fun environment for youth players to develop as soccer players. I live in Skokie with my wife Djilda, and my children Eric and Sarah. I love spending time with my family, reading books, and watching and playing soccer.
